About
…the blogger

I don’t take myself too seriously
I’m a Christ-follower, daughter to two, sister to three, sister-in-law to two, aunt to four and wife and mother to none (yet). I really am called Nelima, though outside my immediate family I am known by my English name.
I am Kenyan and lived for a long time in and near Rome, Italy. I’m now back in Nairobi, though. I love chicken and chocolate (not necessarily in the same dish) and have memorised the words to ‘Nessun Dorma’. If you think I’ve said too little about myself, well, then you can read about my Myers-Briggs personality type.
You could also try a random post.
…the blog
I love writing and sharing what I know. Having neither the knowledge nor the life experience required to demand anyone’s attention, I rely on others for my material. In this stage of my life I’m listening to way too many Bible teachers (mostly found through The Gospel Coalition), and so that’s what ends up here.
It is my hope that my ruminations can be of use to any and all who would have the (mis)fortune of dropping by.

Hey Nelima,
. Like your site by the way. I’m 100% Kenyan too, but living in the US.
I set up a wordpress site and was wondering who else on wordpress was signed in as Nelima. So I looked for you and here you are
Just wanted to say hi!
Nelima
Asante sana for the compliment!
Sorry for grabbing our name…
I am greatly encouraged by your blog. In my (limited) experience, there are not too many fellow Kenyans that are familiar with Packer, Keller, Driscoll, Piper and the like. A good friend of mine has been to Rome a couple of times and has had a hard time finding a good church to attend while there, so your testimony is even more unlikely! As you pray for the spread of the gospel in Kenya, do consider adding this church plant to your prayer list: http://kenyakoinonia.blogspot.com
Will do that Chris… I’ll be needing a church when I return home
Seriously, may the Lord continue to guide you and give you wisdom as you make His name known!
Happy to have stumbled onto your blog. I look forward to reading more in the future. Thanks!
Thanks Jeremy!
I recently discovered Christopher Wright and your post was really helpful. Hope to read more of your blog too!
