It’s time for me to blog through a book! Starting tomorrow, and for 50 days, I’ll be going through Fifty Reasons Why Jesus Came To Die (free download available!) by John Piper. I’ve already read it twice, and blogged it once, but I feel it will be beneficial for me to be reminded why Jesus died.
As Piper says, not why in the sense of cause, but why in the sense of purpose. He seeks to answer the question, “What did God achieve for sinners like us in sending his Son to die?” He went through the New Testament, and this book is the result.
