There are benefits in being paranoid

When it comes to house keys, I’m borderline paranoid. I need to cross the threshold with the keys in my hand so that I’m absolutely certain that I didn’t leave them behind (especially helpful when I’m rummaging through my bag in search of said keys). I’m jealous…

…in a good way (I think). I came across this verse that I immediately underlined:

I put in charge of Jerusalem my brother Hanani, along with Hananiah the commander of the citadel, because he was a man of integrity and feared God more than most men do. (Nehemiah 7:2)

He feared God more than most people did. Oh, that I would be described in the same way!
